64 percent of readmissions within 30 days are due to medication issues, according to HIN's 2010 Benchmarks in Improving Medication Adherence.

More than 49 percent of nursing homes admissions are due to medication non-adherence

Patients receive 3.4 more refills per prescription in a 12-month period when their refills are synchronized, according to the National Community Pharmacists Association.

Why Use Life Safety Monitoring Center for Medication Adherence?

The following are patient and family-centered non-medication adherence statistics that you need to know.

Why are these statistics vital? Moreover, what does it mean to you and your loved ones? First, thanks to healthier lifestyles, proper medical care, and treatment modalities, including taking new and life-saving medications, you can enjoy increased quality and longevity of life.  Second, with the increased national healthcare coverage for those living in the United States, many cost burdens had been shifted to you, the individual healthcare consumer, in the form of higher health plan costs, higher deductibles, and less coverage for skilled, rehabilitation and nursing home facilities - “Long Term Care.” Now “it’s on your nickel!” Therefore, you want to stay as healthy as you can in your home setting (this is called “aging-in-place”) and engage in taking your medications as prescribed - medication adherence.

Video Monitoring

I-View Now is a patented cloud-based video verification service that relates alarm events with video clips from off the shelf security systems, DVRs, NVRs, Videofied, and IP cameras (See our compatibility list here). When an alarm is triggered, the operator can view a clip of what caused the alarm as well as a live view of the facility. All video plays for the operator in our universal player and all operator actions are stored in the event history of the central station software. I-View Now removes the guessing games of what caused the system to go into alarm, allowing for quick and direct police dispatch.
